Global Village is kicking off 2026 with a spectacular start, as Dubai’s iconic outdoor attraction gears up for its biggest drone show of the season.

3,000 Drones Set to Wow Visitors

On Friday, January 9, an impressive 3,000 drones will take to the skies at 7:15 PM, marking a highlight of the park’s 30th season celebrations. While the exact visuals remain a secret, guests can expect jaw-dropping shapes and moving images floating above the pavilions, promising a magical evening for all ages.

Wonderers’ Kids Fest Returns At Global Village

The drone show also signals the launch of the Wonderers’ Kids Fest, which will run daily until Sunday, February 15, from 4 PM to 10 PM. Designed for children aged 3 to 12, the festival is included in the Dhs25 entry ticket, with no additional charges.

Families can enjoy:

  • One-time Guinness World Record Snakes and Ladders game
  • Giant Battleship and life-sized four-in-a-row games

The festival is located next to the Kids’ Theatre, offering nonstop fun and entertainment for younger visitors.

This season, Global Village has introduced a brand-new augmented reality experience, The Wonderverse, adding a futuristic twist to family fun.

Open throughout Dubai’s cooler months, the park closes during the summer due to high temperatures. The final day of its milestone 30th season is set for Sunday, May 10.

January brings a festive lineup of events suitable for all ages, including international music acts, dazzling drone displays, children’s shows, and national day festivities. Whether it’s a relaxed evening stroll, a family outing, or a night of live music, Global Village continues to reflect Dubai’s vibrant, global spirit.

Music and Stage Entertainment

Red Hot Chilli Pipers

Kicking off the month’s entertainment is the Red Hot Chilli Pipers, performing on the Main Stage from January 6 to February 1. The internationally acclaimed Celtic rock band from Scotland gained fame after winning the BBC talent show When Will I Be Famous? in 2007 and has since built a global following.

Baby Shark Takes the Stage

Young visitors can enjoy the interactive Baby Shark Show, running from January 9 to January 31 at both the Main Stage and Kids’ Theatre. The performance brings songs, bright visuals, and energetic dance routines to life, giving children the chance to sing and dance along with their favorite characters.

Seasonal Opening and Closing Dates

Global Village is open daily from 4 PM, closing at midnight Sunday–Wednesday and 1 AM Thursday–Saturday. However, like many of Dubai’s top attractions, it temporarily closes during the summer due to scorching temperatures.

The final day of its 30th season is set for Sunday, May 10, giving visitors a few more months to enjoy the park’s offerings. The reopening date for season 31 hasn’t been announced yet, but it typically opens in October, once temperatures begin to drop.
